Getting help with the forms
Now that you have been summoned, what should you do next? It is important you reply to your summons within 7 days of receiving it. Take time to read through the documents you've received and note any questions - you should find the answers here.
You will see the summons has four pages. Keep pages 1 and 2 and bring them with you when you start your jury service. They contain the details of where and when you should attend.
Return pages 3 and 4 to the Jury Central Summoning Bureau. This is your reply to the jury summons, providing additional information about you and allowing you to apply to postpone your jury service, or apply to be excused from serving. You can find out all about this by going to the section 'Can I choose not to serveŷ'.
After your reply has been received you'll be sent more details, including how to get to the court. You should tell your employers and anyone else who might be affected by your absence in plenty of time.
